Yes. Louisiana law ( Louisiana Stat. 23:633) says you must provide notice. There is no set amount of days ahead the notice must be provided. This vague sort of law has been interpreted to mean that an employer must notify the worker of the change in the rate of pay BEFORE s/he performs work under that pay rate. This gives the worker the opportunity to leave if not satisfied with the new rate of pay.
