Hey Compliance Warriors!
The Minimum Wage Update for Summer 2023 brings changes to several states across the US.
Connecticut’s minimum wage will increase beginning June 1, 2023. The standard rate will be $15, but the state does not have separate rates for bartenders and service employees.
Nevada has two separate rates depending on whether an employee is offered health benefits. From July 1, 2023, the minimum wage in Nevada will be $10.25 for employees offered health benefits and $11.25 for those who are not.
Oregon’s minimum wage rate is determined by county, and from July 1, 2023, rates will range from $13.20 to $15.45.
The minimum wage in Washington, D.C., will be $17 for standard employees and $8 for tipped employees from July 1, 2023.
Finally, Florida’s minimum wage will increase on September 30, 2023, with a standard rate of $12 and a tipped wage of $8.98.
