Human Resources

H.R. Questions: My employee does not want to list her personal cellphone number for the public to see but we require an pay a stipend for the use of personal phones. What can we do to mediate this dispute?

That’s a great question. I would advise that you put an office phone number on the door and then have her forward the calls to her cell. If she returns the call from her cell, the caller will see her cell # unless she uses an app to disguise the number – which is also a good idea. But, the general public will not have her personal number. If there is no number to forward, then get a Google phone # for her that she can post. It will forward to her cell. The Google # can be changed easily if needed. https://fitsmallbusiness.com/get-a-google-voice-number/

I hope this helps.
