CDC Relaxes Masking Guidelines

Hey Compliance Warriors!

On Friday, February 25th, the CDC announced more relaxed guidelines for when Americans should be masking.

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/science/community-levels.html

This new guidance takes a few things into consideration when determining the need to mask in your area:

New COVID-19 cases per 100,000 residents in the past seven days.
New COVID-19-related hospital admissions.
The percentage of hospital beds occupied by COVID-19 patients.

As always, employers may create stronger policies and procedures than recommended in this new guidance. Whatever. you do, be very clear and make sure all employees have plenty of notice before implementing a more strict policy.
