Course Description

No matter how large or small your company may be, Human Resources is a tough gig. The fact that you are depended upon to provide credible information, guidance and answers on all employment laws related to your employees and independent contractors can be overwhelming. The ability  to answer questions regarding the details of the employee policy and procedure handbook is vital to the  happiness of your workers and the survival of  your organization. Maintaining the latest information on HR legal issues, mediating internal conflicts, and hiring or terminating employees legally are expected of every HR professional no matter the size of  an organization.

In our one-hour webinar we will discuss:

  • Exempt vs. non-exempt classification and why you must audit your decisions
  • Mandatory Paid Sick Leave Updates
  • Key areas in which HR and Payroll must work together
  • I-9 completion and correction for 2016
  • Contractor Classification Update
  • ACA Update
  • And much more!

This program is highly informative and filled with the critical human resources basics you’ll need to administer your responsibilities with confidence. In this class, you will learn how to take care of the workers entrusted to you for fair treatment under the law … discover how to achieve and maintain compliance with the ever-changing federal and state laws … and identify ways to secure your entire organization from investigations, audits and lawsuits.

I look forward to seeing you in class!
