Breaking News: FMLA Forms are Ready!

That crazy DOL! Boy can they play with employers when they want.

I get 5-10 email updates every single day from all sorts of DOL update feeds. But, I never saw a post about the new . Thanks to Jeff Nowack from “FMLA Insights”, for posting the news as soon as he heard about it!

So, the changes are minor and mainly circle around GINA – Genetic Information Non-discrimination Act. A sample of the  new language to healthcare providers is below:

Do not provide information about genetic tests, as defined in 29 C.F.R. § 1635.3(f), genetic services, as defined in 29 C.F.R. § 1635.3(e), or the manifestation of disease or disorder in the employee’s family members, 29 C.F.R. § 1635.3(b).

The new expiration dates are May 2018. So, we have a few years until all of this suspense and hide-the-breaking news starts up again. I have updated the section of HelpDesk. Go get ’em!

Until Next Time, Be Audit-Secure!
